World Suicide Prevention Day

In 2006, 529 people died by suicide in Slovenia; one every 17 hours. This figure ranks Slovenia at the very top of EU member states. As regards statistical regions, most suicides were registered in the north-eastern part of the country. (5.9.2008, Health)
